All her food is great and we love Berta this is her Brazil it is delicious with her potato salad

Good sandwiches but very overpriced and the deviled crabs were the worst I've ever had

Berta is the best!!!! She doesnt like to work, but she has to pay for fresh banana peppers on the regular. Dont forget to order a deviled crab, theyre hot AF. Her 2nd in command is great help and comedic relief from the daily grind. BSS all the way...just be patient, its a local hotspot and always busy during lunch

Fantastic sandwiches and even better people making them. Funny witty people with great singers of humor. If your a stick in the mud or someone at some time has told you that you are go somewhere else. The sandwich engineers he are quick witted and comical. New staple in my rotation of places to eat.

My family has been going here for YEARS!!!! They know us all by name and know all our children. On your first visit beware.... they treat you just like family! That means....... No, you the customer, are not right. You are mistaken and dont know what you want. No worries, they will not steer you wrong. Order it as they recommend it. You will figure out what you like and how to order it. Stick with it because you really do become family over time.

If you don't know it's here, you'll drive right by it. And you'll be sorry you missed Berta and her fine sandwiches. On our initial visit, we had the pastrami and roast beef sandwiches. Both were very tasty and the pastrami was extra lean. We wanted the meatloaf sandwich but apparently it's very popular, because when we visited, they were out of meatloaf. I'll have to try again earlier in the week as opposed to Saturday.Interesting signage throughout the place. Adds to the "mom and pop" ambiance that's so hard to find nowadays.Can't wait for our next visit.

Best Cuban sandwich in Tampa. Different than most traditional Cubans but still the best. Other sandwiches are just as good. I used to ride my bike to the shop when they were on Bearss Avenue when I was 8 years old. Been coming to this place for 33 years. If you're in North Tampa make this a must stop for lunch.

Disgusting. The old lady with black hair is working the Register and goes back behind the counter and touches my food. Did not wash her hands or put on gloves. Disgusting. And you want to catch an attitude when I ask you to wash your hands? I’m calling the health department. Dirty dishes piled high in the still no with no proper hand washing station with soap or towels.

One of the better Cubans in Tampa and the best in North Tampa. Small menu with other sandwiches, potato/ macaroni salad, and Flan. Beer and soft drinks available. Great family owned place. Tons of repeat customers.

Great sandwiches and salads. Plus, no other Bay area sandwich shop has Berta there to mistreat you, and you'll love the mistreatment. LOL What Berta says is law in her domain! And she makes a mean Cuban (sandwich that is)... just don't cross her!

This is one of the best sandwich shops in the Tampa Bay area. The owner is the same owner when the sandwich shop was first opened on Bearss Avenue Tampa Florida. I would recommend the sandwiches.

Berta is the nicest sandwich artist in town! What can I say about this classic Tampa establishment other than thank god they are still aorund after all these years. The prices are always fantastic and the sandwiches are always filling and delicious.

I’ve grown up on their food since the early 80’s when they were one Bearss. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but the Roast Beef on a hogie roll is a lifetime favorite. Special Cuban, deviled crab, pastrami, you name it and it’s better here. Miss Jerry but love seeing Berta.

Love this place. Been going here for years. The owner loves to give the customers a hard time (in a funny way). Get the Cuban Sandwich and make sure they press it all the way through. You won't regret it.

This is one of my Favorite sandwich shops EVER. Staff has great sense of humor and the sandwichs are awesome.

Bertha is a hoot and their Cuban sandwich is by far the best in Tampa.

Make sure you call before yo go. I really wanted a Cuban Sandwich. I saw the amazing ranking they had so I drove 20 minutes to get one of these "amazing" sandwiches. However, when I got there a 3:45 they were closed with no signs of inhabitants. The hours posted on the door stated they were supposed to be open until 5:00 PM today, Saturday July 21st. Obviously I was not happy. Also there was no note of explanation (e.g back in 15 minutes, or closed for emergency).

I ordered an Italian. The only meat that was on the sandwich was ham. Should have been called a ham sandwich with Italian's dressing. Very cheap bread. Walmart American cheese. Not impressed at all. Also took about 20 minutes just to pay after I got my sandwich
